1. Introduction DPDP 2023

DressUp India ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data in compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

This is a demonstration/prototype platform. All data is stored locally in your browser (localStorage). No data is transmitted to any server unless you integrate a live payment gateway.

2. Data We Collect

• Account information: Name, email address, phone number (stored in browser localStorage)
• Store information: Store name, description, city, Instagram handle
• Product information: Product photos (stored as base64 in browser), pricing, descriptions
• Order information: Items purchased, delivery address, payment ID
• Camera access: Used only for Virtual Try-On feature — not recorded or stored

3. How We Use Your Data

• To operate your seller store and display products to customers
• To process orders and show order history to sellers
• To personalise your store experience
• To send push notifications (if you opt in)

4. Data Storage

All data is stored in your browser's localStorage. This means:

• Data does not leave your device (demo mode)
• Clearing browser data will remove all stored information
• No cookies are set for tracking purposes

5. Payment Data

Payments are processed via Razorpay (when a live key is configured). DressUp India does not store card numbers, CVVs, or UPI PINs. Razorpay's privacy policy applies to all payment transactions.

6. Your Rights (DPDP Act 2023)

• Right to Access: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you
• Right to Correction: Update incorrect personal data
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data
• Right to Grievance Redressal: Contact our Data Protection Officer

7. Children's Privacy

DressUp India is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us immediately.
